The School Resource Officer involved in the shooting of a Carolina Forest High School student will return to the school next month.

Marcus Rhodes was cleared of any wrongdoing in the shooting of 16-year-old Trevor Varinecz in October. Prosecutors say Varinecz was trying to commit suicide by stabbing Rhodes.

Rhodes has been on administrative duty since the attack, but officials say he will return to the school soon after the holiday break.
