The holiday parades continued in our area this weekend and some great crowds turned out to bring in the holiday season.
Members of our NewsChannel 15 team had a great time in Conway and Surfside Beach on our NewsChannel 15 floats, waving to the many of people who lined the streets.
Hundreds, if not thousands, braved the cold conditions at both parades to enjoy the many festive costumes and Christmas carols that are second nature during these great holiday parades.
From Conway Fire Department's Sparky the dog in the classic red fire truck, and Coastal Carolina University's Head Football Coach, David Bennett, in his classic pick up truck supporting his Collin's Kids Foundation, to the many local girl scouts, and the many local school bands, there was a brigade of floats and parade entries who made their way through downtown Conway as many people looked on Saturday morning.
A few hours later, it was another fantastic turnout for the 30th annual Surfside Beach Holiday parade.
Remember, Sunday is the Johnsonville parade at 3:30, with Nascar driver Kevin Conway as the Grand Marshall.
