Another May motorcycle rally could be coming to the Grand Strand.
North Myrtle Beach is one of three cities being considered for a rally of the Harley Owners Group.
Two organizers brought it up before the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Thursday.
The chamber's president says they welcome all visitors, and the opening of the Robert Edge Parkway would help make an event like that possible, but a few things would have to happen first.
"Do we have the policies and procedures in place to really go out and promote it as a good venue? And the real answer to that is no. There would have to be some changes made to existing ordinances and regulations," said North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce President, Marc Jordan.
Jordan says the rally would attract about 10,000 people.
City officials say it's premature to talk about the bike rally because it would require new vendor ordinances.
