A Florence man accused of killing two women and burying their bodies in his backyard will be in court this week.

Tommy Johnson is a registered sex offender, convicted of criminal sexual conduct third degree.

Now, he's set to begin trial for allegedly killing two women in two separate incidents.

Police say in 2008 Rachel Samuel was choked to death by Johnson.

Authorities say two weeks later, Johnson also killed Joretha Kirk.

Officers say they found both of the women's bodies in shallow graves in Johnson's back yard in Florence in October of 2008.
