NewsChannel 15 has confirmed that Blumenthal Mills in Marion County has closed, leaving over a hundred employees out of a job.

The plant manager, Ken Gunnin, confirmed the closure this morning.

Gunnin said there was an offer on the table by another company to buy the troubled plant, but it didn't pan out. Officials decided to shut down last night.

We're told plant officials will release an official statement later this afternoon.

About 138 people work at the company.
