Private 1st Class James Charles Montgomery
A Lake City man went missing in action 57 years ago during the Korean War, and Friday a special memorial service will take place for him.
In October of 1952, 20-year-old Private 1st Class James Charles Montgomery went missing in action in the Korean War, while serving in the US Army.
He has been presumed dead ever since.
A military service with full honors will be held for Montgomery at the Florence National Cemetery Friday at Noon.
