Myrtle Beach mayoral candidate Mark McBride has challenged incumbent John Rhodes to a series of debates this week.

McBride wants to debate Rhodes three times at different locations around the city.

Mayor Rhodes tells NewsChannel 15 he has no interest in doing a debate, instead he says he's running his campaign and trying to get voters to come back to the polls next week to vote for him.

The runoff election in Myrtle Beach is Tuesday, November 17th.

Sunday, McBride and Rhodes appeared in separate interviews on Carolina This Week on NewsChannel 15.

You can watch those interviews here on the Carolina This Week page.
