A week's worth of homecoming activities wrapped up at Coastal Carolina University Saturday with homecoming day.
Spirits were high on campus in Conway. There was tailgating, games, food and entertainment. And of course a football game.
Students, faculty, alumni, fans, parents, even prospective families made it out to CCU Saturday to cheer on the Chants.
"All of us out here, we're Coastal Carolina alumni. We're proud of our alma matter. I'm proud of all the student loans I'm paying back to them every month," joked alumnus Matt Verost.
"I came out here to see what my son will encounter next year," said Brenna Laws, whose son will attend CCU next year.
"I'm here to support the football team. It's nice to have a football team finally. We didn't have one when I was at CCU," said Brandy Bushnoe, a CCU alumna.
