Marion police say a series of burglaries may be a part of a gang initiation.

Lieutenant Farmer Blue with Marion Police Department says this weekend seven places on East Liberty Street were burglarized, including homes and businesses.

He says they have reason to believe juveniles broke into the buildings, as an initiation to get into a gang.

If you have any information on the burglaries, you're asked to Marion Police at (843) 423-8642.
