Voters head to the polls in just over a week and the politicking leading up to Election Day is heating up on the Grand Strand.
Saturday, the Myrtle Beach Coalition for Good Government held a political stump at the historic Train Depot.
The coalition is made up of civil rights groups including the Myrtle Beach chapter of the NAACP.
Every city council and mayoral candidate was invited, though not all of them showed up.
One of the community activists who helped organize the event says this is the most important election for Myrtle Beach in quite some time.
Don't forget, NewsChannel 15 will host the only debate between all the candidates for Myrtle Beach mayor.
Current Mayor John Rhodes and challengers Mark McBride, Beatrice Catalano, Matt McCarty, and Bill Howard have agreed to square off live in our studio this Tuesday night, October 27th, from 7pm to 8pm.
That's exactly one week before the November 3rd election.
You can watch it all live, on NewsChannel 15.
