COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is starting to make the first doses of H1N1 flu vaccine available to people in high risk groups at certain clinics.
A DHEC spokesman says the first such clinic is slated to open Thursday in North Charleston.
If you are a member of a high-risk group that has been targeted to get the vaccine by the Center for Disease Control, you can make an appointment to get a nasal spray version of the so-called swine flu vaccine.
DHEC spokesman Jim Beasley says clinics taking appointments are listed on the agency's web site. Most begin clinics in November and December.
He says there should be enough vaccine for everyone who wants it once high-risk groups get their doses.
