Georgetown County Schools voted to ban all types of concealed weapons on all school property.

The ban includes students, school employees and visitors, even if they have a permit.

A spokesperson for the Georgetown County School Board tells us the board considered this ban on concealed weapons before last Friday's shooting and stabbing incident at Carolina Forest High School.

They say the move was in response to a plea from state law enforcement agencies.
