ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina's top teachers are meeting over the next month in leadership seminars.

The state Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention and Advancement is sponsoring regional forums for school districts' teachers of the year.

The first of the five, daylong workshops was held last week in Rock Hill, and the second one will be held

Tuesday in Aiken. Others will be held in Walterboro, Florence, and Moore.

The seminars will be led by the 2010 state teacher of the year, Bryan Coburn, a pre-engineering and computer science teacher from Northwestern High School in Rock Hill.

Coburn says it's a chance for outstanding teachers to network and learn from each other.

The agency will hold a two-day workshop in February for all 85 district teachers of the year.
