(AP) -- LUGOFF, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a South Carolina man strangled his wife while she slept because their marriage was about to end.
Kershaw County Sheriff's Capt. David Thomley told WLTX-TV that the couple's two teenage children were in the Lugoff home Thursday morning and saw their mother's body. One called 911, and the other
let police into the house.
Thomley says 41-year-old Tyrone Frierson is charged with choking his 40-year-old wife, Kisha, a nurse at a Columbia hospital.
Tyrone Frierson is charged with murder and remains in the Kershaw County jail. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney. A neighbor, Jerry Garrett, says he was stunned to hear about the
killing because the family always seemed happy and kind.
