Saturday, around 4:15am, Horry County police responded to a fire on Cedar Branch Rd. in the Loris area in reference to a suspicious fire.
After the initial investigation, it was determined that the fire was intentionally set.
Police have arrested and charged Jerome Boyd Hemingway, 30, with 2nd degree arson.
Police will not release a motive but say Hemingway didn't live at the home.
