Carolina Lifecare is close to resuming medical helicopter service to the Grand Strand.

One of their choppers crashed in Georgetown County nearly two weeks ago, killing three crew members.

A spokesman for Omniflight, Carolina Lifecare's parent company, says another chopper is being serviced at a maintenance facility in Atlanta and should be deployed to the Grand Strand before the weekend.

Along with other repairs, the helicopter is being equipped with night vision goggles for the crew.
