ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- Charges have been dropped for a South Carolina teen previously accused in the death of a man who was shot on a porch during a robbery.
The Herald of Rock Hill reported Thursday that 17-year-old Darius Jeter was released from jail on Tuesday after police dropped all charges related to the shooting death earlier this month.
Eighteen-year-old Tyrone King died last week at a Charlotte, N.C. hospital after being shot in the head.
King and two others were held up in a Rock Hill house around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 1. Shots were fired after suspects took about $10 in cash and $200 in electronic devices.
Seventeen-year-old Donta Reid and 21-year-old Samantha Ervin face several charges including murder, assault and battery and armed robbery.
