A Little River man who drowned in the ocean in Myrtle Beach Saturday told friends that he couldn't swim just before he entered the water, that's according to the Horry County Coroner's Office who has yet to release the man's name.
The 53-year-old man was in the water near the Springmaid Pier on the south end of Myrtle Beach.
We're told he was pulled from the ocean soon after witnesses noticed him struggling.
Rescue crews performed CPR and rushed the man to the hospital, where he died.
