A memorial fund has been set up for the families of the chopper crew killed when their medical helicopter crashed in Georgetown County one week ago.
If you wish to make a contribution, checks should be made payable to the Veterans Welcome Home Center and sent to 4254 Stella Court in Little River, 29566. The organization asks that you note on the bottom of your check that it's for the Carolina LifeCare Memorial Fund.
Saturday, a service will be held for one of the crew members who died. A celebration of life ceremony will be held for Diana Conner, the flight nurse, hosted by Williamsburg Regional Hospital and Williamsburg County EMS. It will be at the Williamsburg County Recreation Dept. on Highway 527 in Kingstree from 5pm to 8pm.
Services for flight paramedic Randolph Dove of Bladenboro, North Carolina were held Thursday. Services for the pilot, Patrick Walters, were held in Garden City on Wednesday.
There is a public memorial service also being held this Sunday at 2:00pm at Brooks Stadium at Coastal Carolina University in Conway.
