The car accident happened on Spring Branch Roadin Florence County around 6:00pm Tuesday night.
Highway Patrol says a farm truck slowed down to turn and a 56-year-old man driving a pick up truck, crashed into the back of it.
The pick up truck driver was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews will release the victim's name as soon as family members have been notified.
