Beginning Monday, October 5, the Centers for Disease Control says the first Swine Flu vaccine should be in some doctors' offices across the nation.

Most of that 6 to 7 million doses will be flu-mist, the nasal spray version.

South Carolina DHEC says the CDC is taking orders for the vaccine from states beginning Wednesday of this week, and manufacturers hope to send the first shipment the first or second week of October.

Those doses will be sent to health departments and registered providers across the state.

Over time, the government expects to have a total of 250 million doses.
