A passionate but respectful crowd turned out to a town hall meeting in Florence Friday morning, hosted by Senator Lindsey Graham.
About 150 people attended the meeting at Frances Marion University. The meeting started with questions about the war but quickly shifted to the topic of healthcare.
Senator Graham took questions from dozens of people who wanted to know his views regarding President Barack Obama's proposals to overhaul healthcare. Graham said, "We need healthcare reform but I don't believe the government needs to run any more healthcare than they're already doing, and that's a big bone of contention."
Senator Graham also heard from residents who questioned why so many jobs are going overseas.
Graham says the government needs to push harder for a more fair trade system with countries like China.
