Darlington County Schools Spokeswoman Audrey Childers says on Highway 52 Thursday morning, a car ran into the back of a school bus.

The students on board the bus were checked out by EMS on the scene, but none were injured.

The driver of the car was injured and has been charged by Highway Patrol. We are waiting to learn the charge.

Childers says a bus showed up to take the children to school. They were headed to different elementary schools in Darlington County.
