A Florence County man has been awarded $10 million by the State Supreme Court.
In 2003, he sued his health insurance provider, Fortis Insurance Company, for dropping him after finding out he was HIV positive.
He won $15 million in that lawsuit, but the company appealed.
Monday, the State Supreme Court found in the policy holder's favor, but lowered that to $10 million.
