President Obama's planned speech to the nation's school children on Tuesday has garnered all sorts of attention -- especially from some parents who don't want their children watching the speech.
In Horry County, the district's spokeswoman says she fielded nearly fifty calls last week from angry parents. She said the vitriol wasn't necessarily about the speech itself but the speaker.
Since the speech began getting negative attention, the White House has changed its game plan -- the text is very generic and the US Dept of Education and White House scrapped plans to distribute curriculum to go along with the president's speech.
We're going to watch the speech with a group of high school students at Myrtle Beach High, and we'll have their reactions coming up tonight on NewsChannel 15 at 6.
