An estimated 45,000 people in Horry County currently receive Medicare benefits, and that number is expected to grow as baby boomers age.

Friday, South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Andre Bauer will host a Medicare Forum from 11am until 1pm at the Conway Community Senior Center at 1519 Mill Pond Road.

Bauer and experts on Medicare and senior health from the Office on Aging will be there to answer questions about Medicare coverage and the potential impact health care reform may have on benefits.

The Medicare Forum is open to anyone who has questions.
