(Updated 5:35pm Thursday) McColl Police Chief Tommy Langley says the body found on a dirt path of 4th Street Wednesday is that of 37-year-old William Joseph Stubbs of Pembroke, North Carolina.
Langley says Stubbs had relatives in McColl, but they have no idea how long Stubbs had been missing.
The body was badly decomposed, but Langley says an autopsy determined Stubbs died of natural causes.
