WINNSBORO, S.C. (AP) -- Attorneys are expected to continue presenting arguments as to why a South Carolina 12-year-old who killed his grandparents and set their house on fire should get a new trial.
Lawyers for Christopher Pittman will call more witnesses Thursday in the second day of the hearing over whether he'll get a second chance in court.
Pittman's team says his original defense team made mistakes in his trial.
Pittman was 12 in 2001 when he shot his grandparents and set fire to their Chester County home. His attorneys unsuccessfully argued the slayings were influenced by the antidepressant Zoloft - a charge the drug manufacturer vigorously denied.
Pittman is now 20. His lawyer says he will testify during the three-day hearing.
