Two people died in separate car accidents Sunday along the Grand Strand and in the Pee Dee.
The first happened around 1:00am in Florence County, just a few miles north of the city, on McIver (mick-keever) Road near Ashby Road.
SC Highway Patrol says a 37-year-old Darlington man ran off the road and crashed. Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews says Darrick Staggers died on scene.
The second wreck happened just after one Sunday afternoon in Georgetown County on Dunbar and Rose Hill Roads.
Coroner Kenney Johnson says one person there died on the scene. Highway patrol is investigating.
