Some students furthering their education in our area have access to some brand new technology. Wednesday, Horry-Georgetown Technical College re-dedicated its HGTC Technology Center.
The new and improved center will give instructors the opportunity to present interactive lectures. There are also new computers in classrooms.
One educator at HGTC says the upgrades will help students prepare for life after college.
"We have to give them the technology that's being used in the workforce today. Now what we have and what we've done this summer to renew this building, is going to give them that opportunity," said Steven Luse, Information and Digital Technology.
The technology center also got new flooring, paint, furniture and lighting upgrades.
