Coastal Carolina University's Athletic Department is addressing Saturday's DUI arrest of the Men's Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
Fifth year head coach Jeff Jacobs was arrested around 4:00am Saturday morning for driving under the influence.
In 2006, Jacobs was the co-Coach of Year in the Big South Conference.
CCU Athletic Director Warren "Moose" Koegel made this statement:
"We are very concerned for Coach Jacobs and for the men's cross country and men's track programs, and will follow all athletic
department policies in this matter. We are continuing to review the situation and are working with University officials regarding the incident. Until the investigation is complete, we will have no further comment on the issue."
