GREENWOOD, S.C. (AP) -- A 53-year-old South Carolina man has died after a Greenwood County sheriff's deputy shocked him with a Taser.

Multiple media outlets reported Ernest Owen Ridlehuber III of Greenwood died Wednesday afternoon.

Greenwood County Coroner Jim Coursey says an autopsy is set for Thursday in Anderson.

Sheriff Tony Davis says family members had reported Ridlehuber missing earlier in the day, and that officers accompanied family members when they found him.

Sheriff's Maj. John Murray says deputies used the Taser several times after Ridlehuber fought them.

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating.
