The Coastal Carolina University football team took time off from the practice field Sunday to hit the bowling lanes.

The Chaunticleers were at Waccamaw Lanes just off Highway 501 Sunday afternoon. As they were knocking down pins, players and coaches were building team bonds.

"It's helping our team out, just helping us become closer together," pointed out Marquel Willis, a wide receiver on the CCU football team.

As they were building team bonds, they were taking part in some friendly competition as they traded in their cleats for bowling shoes.

"Frankly, for me it's all about beating Coach Snyder," joked CCU offensive lineman, Ryan Boehm. "He got me last year. This is my last chance to really get back at him for all the years of destroying my self-esteem."
