24 people have been arrested in the Pee Dee area after a year-long drug investigation finally came to a close this weekend.
Sumter police, Florence County Sheriff's Office and the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), as well as several other agencies were involved in the investigation and arrests.
Charges ranged from distribution, to the possession of drugs. Authorities say many of the suspects sold crack cocaine or marijuana to undercover officers.
The majority of those arrested lived in Lynchburg, the rest were from Florence, Sumter and Turbeville.
