A jet skier involved in a boating accident Saturday on the Intracoastal Waterway died overnight, Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said on Sunday.
Edge said 27-year-old Michael A. Warner from Dover, Delaware died at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington from his injuries.
On Saturday, emergency officials with Horry County Fire Rescue, The S.C. Dept. Of Natural Resources and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to an area along the ICW between Enterprise Landing and Bucksport Marina.
Rescue workers said Warner lost control of the jet ski he was driving and collided with a nearby boat.
The incident is under investigation.
