A 19-year-old Myrtle Beach man has been found not guilty in the beating death of a homeless man.

In March of 2006, 51-year-old Steven Walsh was beaten in the woods off of Highway 501 in Horry County, just outside Myrtle Beach. He died nine days later at a local hospital.

Bilal Harris, who was 16 at the time, was arrested and charged as an adult in Walsh's death.

The Horry County solicitor's office says the judge ruled there was not sufficient evidence to convict Harris.
