Saturday, a local group paid the ultimate tribute to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The American Veterans Traveling Tribute and Rolling Thunder of South Carolina opened up the Hall of Heroes Memorial with a tribute to POWs and troops who went missing in action.

The Hall of Heroes -- located in the Ocean/Sand Dunes Resort on 75th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach -- includes a replica Vietnam Memorial Wall, information about each US war, flag displays, tributes to each branch of service, and a 9-11 memorial.

"People come in here and they walk out with different emotions because they realize the sacrifices that people have made in this country to keep us free," said Bill DeVaughn, the Vice President of Rolling Thunder.

The hall is free and open to the public Monday through Friday.
