A 26 year old Loris man was killed in a car accident Friday night, marking the third fatality on Horry County roads in just a two-day span.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge tells NewsChannel 15 that Allen Ray Floyd of Loris was driving on Highway 554 -- between Red Bluff Road and Loris, about 10 miles south of Loris. That's when South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers say Floyd ran off the side of the road, over-corrected, and lost control of his car eventually hitting a tree.
Floyd was wearing his seatbelt, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
