A federal district court has upheld a judge's decision to hold three Marlboro County men in jail until they go to trial.

Those men are charged with violating the civil rights of an African-American man.

In December of 2007, Deandre Moore stopped to use a restroom at a store in Marlboro County. Federal agents say he was attacked by three men simply because of his race.

Thomas Blue, Sr., Thomas Blue, Jr., and Judson Talbert face federal charges in connection with the incident. The three men had requested the court to revoke their detention order but they'll remain in jail until their trial.

A date has not been set for their trial.
