Two former state employees are suing the director of South Carolina's prison system for up to $10 million. The two former Corrections Department employees are suing Jon Ozmint, saying he defamed them in a letter about their disability benefits.

Ira Baxley and Terry Bracey are seeking up to $10 million. After they say Ozmint claimed their disabilities were false.

In 2007, Baxley and Bracey filed a separate federal lawsuit against Ozmint, saying they were forced to perform executions in order to keep leadership positions. That case is ongoing.
