Public welcome to hear plans of new recycling facility in Florence
Officials with Johnson Controls will hold a public meeting Monday to discuss plans for the proposed facility in Florence.
Earlier this month it was announced the Fortune 100 company was bringing hundreds of jobs to the Pee Dee.
Their new automotive battery recycling facility would be on a 270 acre site off Paper Mill Road in Florence County near Dupont and Smurfit Stone.
The meeting is purely informational -- they will not accept applications at that time.
It will be Monday, June 15th at 6pm at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology in the Pee Dee Electric Cooperative auditorium -- that's on Mt Pisgah Road in Florence.
