A group of residents of the Conway Housing Authority staged a protest outside Conway City Hall Monday.
Residents say they're not being treated fairly because they're being charged a maintenance fee for their homes - when that fee is supposed to be paid by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The residents call their group "The Action Network," and they say Conway Housing Authority residents are being unfairly evicted from their homes for not being able to pay the fee.
"It's not in the contract, our contract, any maintenance work at all. It's already paid for," said resident, Minnie Randall.
Randall says one woman is being evicted from her home because she couldn't pay for a gasket replacement on her refrigerator.
The residents were also protesting the firing of a Housing Authority employee.
We called the Conway Housing Authority for a comment, but we've not received a call back.
