A teen originally charged with murder will spend five years in prison after pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

Eric Lynch, 17, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Trayvelle Simpson last year.

Police say on July 31, 2008 Lynch shot Simpson in the head at the EME Apartments in Conway.

Witnesses say Lynch was playing with a gun when it fired, killing Simpson.

Lynch turned himself in to police the next day.
