Leaders hope sporting events can help make up some of the losses from the May bike rallies, but one group isn't concerned about the smaller crowds that visited the Grand Strand last month.

The group "Take Back May" has launched a television advertising campaign which thanks Myrtle Beach city leaders for passing tougher ordinances aimed at bikers.

The group will hold a thank you rally for Mayor John Rhodes and city council next Wednesday, June 10th.

It's at the Myrtle Beach Train Depot at 11:30am.
