Burning ban remains in effect for the City of North Myrtle Beach

A burning ban that was put into place around the time of the Horry County Wildfire, still remains in effect in the city of North Myrtle Beach.

Chief Barstow with North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue issued a burning ban in city during the last week of April.

The burning ban went into effect immediately.

The burning ban has not been lifted and will remain in effect until further notice.

North Myrtle Beach has received many calls in the last week regarding this issue.

Residents who have questions can call the city's Public Safety Department at (843) 280 - 5511.
