Charles Campbell, owner of Dead Dog Saloon, is leading the effort to re-brand future bike rallies on the Grand Strand.

Campbell says the marketing strategy will include a complete disassociation with Myrtle Beach, which he says, "has irreparably damaged its brand equity with hundreds of thousands of tourists."

The new effort will include plans to re-name and re-market all future rallies.

The concentration will focus on Surfside Beach and Pawleys Island.

Organizers say at this year's spring Harley Rally they passed out thousands of fliers to bikers and got a good response.
