The saga of the proposed new terminal for Myrtle Beach International Airport continued Thursday, as the company designing the new terminal went in front of Myrtle Beach's Community Appearance Board to get an idea if the board likes the new plans so far.
In 2007, the board shot down plans for a new terminal.
Since then designers have been at work on new ones for the passenger terminal, which would be adjacent to the current terminal and give the airport a 200,000 square foot facility.
"This is the next big step in moving the project forward. The folks in the community have been involved with this for quite some time at a number of public hearings we had. The all had a consistent message: 'Let's get this terminal built," said Rick Ott, MB Kahn Construction.
No word yet on when the CAB will make a decision about the plans presented Thursday.
