(AP) -- A man accused of murder in a crash that killed a South Carolina man watching television in his home is expected to ask to be released on bond.
An attorney for 36-year-old John Ludwig is expected to ask a judge to release the man during a Friday hearing.
Ludwig was arrested last week in the death of 62-year-old Frederic Bardsley. Authorities say Ludwig was driving at more than 85 mph in his Maserati when he lost control. The sports car traveled several hundred feet across a field before plowing into the house.
Investigators say Bardsley was killed, while Ludwig suffered minor injuries.
Ludwig's attorney, Billy Wilkins, has said his client lost control of the vehicle after swerving to miss several deer.
