Recount gives mayor slightest edge

A recount of provisional ballots in the Marlboro County town of McColl gave a one vote edge to the incumbent mayor Wednesday.

Election officials say incumbent Mayor Gary Quick received 382  votes comparied to 381 votes for challenger, Ray Grier after those votes were recounted.

The winners of the six at large seats on town council are Arthur Lee Adams, David Flowers, Hazel King, Jack Graham, Michelle Odom and Pat Odom.
