Total Media Relief III is a joint effort by members of the Grand Strand media to raise money for the Coastal South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross Fire Victims' Relief Fund.
As of 5:15pm, thanks to the generosity of the Grand Strand businesses and residents, $102,000 had been raised.
The NewsChannel 15 team was out at the event all day long at Myrtle Beach Mall (formerly Colonial Mall). You can still donate until 7pm Tuesday evening.
Pat Horne and her Red Hat ladies stopped by to give a donation, because she says, you never know. "The same thing can happen to Windjammer Village very easily. We're a wooded area, we're a close-knit community, and we just like to help all the people that have gone through something that we could easily go through," said Horne.
